For baseball parents and coaches

See exactly what to fix in your pitcher's delivery.

Film a pitch on your phone. Playerbio tracks the whole body frame by frame, finds the biggest problems, shows each fix right on the video, and gives you pitching drills for every one.

How it works

No sensors, no lab, no special camera. Just the phone you already have.

Film a pitch

Shoot one pitch from the side at hip height. Add a second clip from behind the mound to see where the stride lands and how the hips and shoulders turn.

Upload it

Playerbio finds the pitcher, tracks every joint, and pinpoints leg lift, foot contact, max layback and release, even when they fall between video frames.

Fix one thing at a time

Problems are ranked worst first. Tap one and the video jumps to that moment with the fix drawn on the body, which way to move, and drills to practice.

What you get

Built so a parent can see what a pitching coach sees.

Coaching on the video itself

Numbered callouts pinned to the body, frame by frame. The good range is drawn right on the joint, so you can see where the knee or elbow should be.

Worst first, with a direction

Every measurement against the typical range, ranked by what matters most, and each one says which way to go: bend more, step closer to the line, lean less.

Side and behind views

Knee bend, stride and lean from the side; stride direction, toe angle and hip-shoulder separation from behind. Switch angles and stay on the same moment.

Drills for every problem

A library of pitching-only drill videos from coaches and programs, grouped by what they fix. No hitting, no golf, no gym filler.

Progress over time

Do the drills for a couple of weeks, film again, and see which numbers got better, side by side with last time.

Made for young arms

Youth ranges, not big-league ones. Drills at sub-max effort with no weighted balls, and a reminder that arm pain means stop and see a professional.

Measured, not guessed

Phone video is only 30 frames a second, and the most important moments of a pitch happen between frames. Playerbio is built around that.

  • Landing and release are timed on the motion between frames, checked against slow-motion video.
  • Each number comes from the camera angle that can actually see it.
  • The video and the list always agree: same numbers, same ranges, same direction.
  • Anything that can't be measured reliably from your clip is labeled, not dressed up as a fact.

Questions

What do I need?

A phone and a pitcher. Film one pitch from the side, at about hip height, with the whole body in the frame from leg lift to follow-through. A second clip from directly behind the mound adds stride direction and hip-shoulder separation. A tripod or fence post helps.

What ages is it for?

Youth through high school. Typical ranges are adjusted for younger pitchers, and drill suggestions keep effort sub-max for young arms.

Does it replace a pitching coach?

No. It shows you what to look at and what to practice between lessons, and gives a coach something concrete to work from. It's a measuring tool, not a medical one: any elbow or shoulder pain means stop and see a professional.

How accurate is it?

It measures from your video, so the clip matters: steady camera, good light, the whole body in view. Timing is resolved between video frames and checked against slow-motion footage, and anything the camera angle can't see well is clearly labeled.

Who can see my videos?

Only you. Your clips are never shown publicly.
